On Mayday Eve, it is time to perform the annual maintenance of the Eccentric Press. Due to stricter maintenance regulations, VTK is piloting a remote maintenance system for the eccentric press, which allows you to monitor the progress of maintenance safely from your own home work station. So gather the maintenance supplies of your choice at your station and contact your old or new VTK colleagues. The video broadcast will begin at 10 a.m. and will be released later at the event’s Facebook page.

After the service, you can tune in to the Declaration of May Day Madness broadcast from 12 noon.

Welcome to an excursion organized by Aalto University Production Engineering Students to Meconet on Thursday, October 31st!

Meconet is a technology company, which produces springs, deep drawn products and press products for leading companies in Finland and all around the world. For example the brand new paneling of the Mall of Tripla in the event picture background is designed and produced by Meconet. During the excursion we will tour the factory and hear about the job opportunities in the firm. We will also discuss about the development of prototyping in the company.

Excursion starts 31st of October at 2pm at Meconet office in Vantaa. VTK organizes a bus transport, which leaves from the mechanical engineering building in Otakaari 4 at 1:15pm. Please be on time at the bus. The duration of the excursion is about 3 hours and the bus will transport the participants back to Otaniemi.

The Dresscode in VTK excursions is dark suit.

VTK – Aalto University Production Engineering Students welcomes YOU to the new members’ night hosted by Konecranes at Hyvinkää on Thursday, October 10th.

Come and hear about the club! VTK is the association to join to contact with companies and travel around the world to learn more about our field of studies.

In New Members’ Night you’ll learn everything you need to know about VTK and also get to tour the Konecranes factory. Dinner is served afterwards and the sauna is warm!

The bus starts from in front of the Mechanical department, Otakaari 4 at 13:00
The bus returns to Otaniemi in the evening, around 21:00
The event is free!

There are 15 places available, but the form allows 5 reserve entries. You will receive a confirmation email about your registration later. Sign up starts on Thursday 26th of September 12:00. Welcome to an excursion organized by The Club of Production Engineering students to Delfoi on Tuesday, May 28th!

Delfoi develops, markets and supports Industry 4.0 solutions such as production planning & scheduling, robot offline programming and simulation solutions, and related consulting services for the industry. We will learn about all these business functions of Delfoi for two hours and after that the evening continues with sauna. The host offers towels, food and drinks for the participants.

Excursion starts 28th of May at 5pm at Delfoi office in Vänrikinkuja 2, and the sauna is hot until 10pm. Please be on time at the office. It’s easy to arrive to the office from Otaniemi for example with bus 550.

Excursion to Planmeca and Club evening!

Welcome to an excursion organized by The Club of Production Engineering students to Planmeca on Wednesday, March 20th!

Planmeca is a heathcare industry manufacturer of high tech machinery and CAD/CAM solutions. We’ll get to visit the production facilities and hear a bit more about the company.

VTK organizes a bus transport to the excursion, starting in front of K1 building in Otakaari 4 at 11:15. You can of course also arrive by your own means, but be on time when the excursion starts at 12:00 sharp. The address of Planmeca is Asentajankatu 6, Herttoniemi, Helsinki.

The Dresscode in VTK excursions is dark suit.

After the excursion, the bus comes back to Otaniemi, and we continue the evening with a laid-back club evening from 18:00 onwards in Gorsu in Jämeräntaival 5. VTK offers a chance to enjoy the sauna, some snacks and beverages.
